the participants of the meeting in Berlin
Once again, at the end of August, we look forward to seeing the most beautiful MG cars, old and not so old here in Berlin. We, the MG Club Berlin welcome you to a parade through the city with the Berlin Police Motor Cycle Team “Weiße Mäuse”- the White Mice, a tour into the countryside near Berlin and a gala evening: all in all an exclusive programme.
Vintage and classic MGs from 1928 to 2005 will be expected to the “Octagonal Berlin Event“ in August 2006 from all over Europe. As before, this meeting is hosted by the MG-Club Berlin. A varied programme and good organisation has made these meetings very successful and the attendance has increased every time.
His Excellency Sir Peter Torry, the Ambassador of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Berlin, has agreed to become patron of the 9th International MG-Meeting Berlin 2006.
British car enthusiasts have enjoyed these events in the past and many will be coming back again this year. None of the participants would like to miss either the parade through the city or the rally in the countryside surrounding Berlin. This year there will be a special surprise.
It will
be a fascinating experience for our capital, Berlin, when the unmistakable sound of English engines
reverberates through the city.

The members of the MG-Club Berlin are looking forward to the meeting in August 2006 and invite everyone fascinated by the 4 wheeled Brits to come to the meeting in Berlin.

Time for a cup of tea or coffee and some cake, a general chat at the nH-Hotel Kleinmachnow; Evening: An official welcome ceremony for all participants at the nH-Hotel Kleinmachnow. There will be an opportunity to take part in our surprise. We can also provide you with maps and information material about Berlin. If you prefer, you can relax in the Hotel. |

From 06:30 Documentation and rally plates distributed to latecomers. You may only take part in the city parade if your car is displaying a rally plate! From 08:30 Gathering for the city parade on the AVUS North Curve The city parade will take place, shepherded by the Berliner Police Motorcycle Team ”Weiße Mäuse“ through Berlin About 12:00 End of the parade incl. Lunch. afterwards You can relax and enjoy the end of a strenuous week in an interesting capital. Evening: This evening is either for “Benzingespräche” somewhere near Berlin or for relaxing, sightseeing as desired. Again, we can provide you with maps and information about Berlin. |

From 08:00 Briefing for drivers and crews. From 08:30 Start of the rally. The rally will take place on good roads and include a lunch break. Instructions will be available in English as well as German. From 16:00 Arrival of the first cars; From 20:00 “The Octagonal Berlin Event Night“: A social evening with presentation ceremony, buffet, music and dancing. |
